Where has my summer gone?

It seems like just yesterday I was looking forward to a visit from Camy Tang, one of my good friends and CPs. Which happened the day after my children got out from school for the summer. She spent two weeks at my house, during which time we went to the Glen Eyrie Writer's Workshop (it was excellent), the Estes Park Wool Market (research for a book, I'm telling you!), and did a whole host of things in between. The day before Camy left, my friend Gina Conroy came from Oklahoma. We put Camy on the plane the next day, then played airport shuttle for our friends attending the Master's Seminar on Writing Bestselling Fiction (another excellent way to spend time), which started the next day.

Exhausted yet? Because that was just the first couple weeks of June.

No sooner did I get caught up on my life, but el familio decided to take a little trip. Okay, *I* decided. But it sounds better to say we did. We took a road trip (15 hours each way) to visit my dear friend and other CP, Cheryl Wyatt. We spent a week away from home, giving me exactly two weeks to catch up to the current point in time.

Which is now. Days from leaving for the RWA conference in Orlando.

When I return, I have three weeks left before school starts (and a tiny trip in between) and I will get my life back. My schedule.

Until, of course, I leave for the ACFW Conference mid-September.

So what have you done all summer?

I'm a skeerd to tell you... not much. You are a hard woman to compete with when it comes to busyness. I think, though, that you've enjoyed your summer immensely and will have memories to show for it. I, if you must know, took a lot of naps. :D

Mine wasn't as busy as yours, but I was probably away from home just as much and I have a week to finish getting my kids and myself (I'm teaching) ready for school. All the house projects (like unpacking boxes and cleaning the homeschool room) will have to wait...again!

Denise, I envy those lots of naps. :)

Gina, I hear you on the house projects. YIKES!
