1. Shoes other than my old, holey tennis shoes. I think I'm going to break down and buy new ones tomorrow. 2. A bra other than the one I'm wearing. I may break down and buy more of those too. 3. The bedroom TV. Really. We lost a TV. 4. My favorite tea cup. 5. The books for a class I'm teaching. 6. Part of my daughter's drawer. 7. The school calendar. 8. The Dog's second favorite toy (we just found his favorite). 9. A box of beach towels. 10. My bathing suit. 11. Hair things. 12. Our bike helmets. 13. My mind!!!! Like Marina, we've been in our new house for a year and a half and I still have stuff I can't find. If it weren't writing-related stuff I wouldn't mind nearly as much. But I need those notes!

We've lost some pretty strange things during moves but never anything like a TV. At least not yet.
When I was in the fourth grade, my family moved. At that time my older sister had these really *groovy* blue clogs, one of which got lost in the move. We looked *everywhere* for it but it never turned up. My sister accused me of throwing it away. Thirty-two years later, my parents moved again (they don’t move much) and guess what they found? The blue clog. Finally, I was exonerated.
The moral of the story is, go buy the stuff you lost, it may be a while before you find them and when you do, you may not need or want them any more. My condolences.
